AllSaints Spitalfields

My recently favourite place to shop in London.

Their clothes were made to look well worn-in and seem to have that rock-inspired formula with a special distressed shabby chic look. Things in grey, beige, black and battered denim and the Victorian-style boots without laces look like they've just stepped out of a music video.

Their trademark motif is a ram skull which goes well with the interiors of edgy rails and rusty lamps, wooden floors and vintage sewing machines. These days I could easily wear this everywhere. But I really wonder how long it will take before this becomes another boring Zara...

I saw this shop for the first time, 2 years ago, when i was passing by in Portobello Road.
I've become fascinated by the interior decor and the original design. All those vintage sewing machines reminded me immediately my childhood when I used to make, on a sewing machine like those, small clothes for my dools with little pieces of tissue. Those were fascinating years where I tried to reproduce the real fashion designs. I loved to sew and many afternoons were spent around mini wardrobes and dressing techniques.
I've visited the shop and clothes looked very confortable and light fashionable. You are right Zara turned out too much to office clothes, although nice, there's no room left for the relaxing weekends in their fashion designs.
Hugs TI
